The Westfälische Nachrichten, Westfalen-Blatt and Münstersche Zeitung have a number of things in common: they are all news portals that belong to the Aschendorff Group; they are the most clicked news portals in the Münsterland region; and they are renowned for their in-depth regionally-focused news coverage that spans local daily news and sports. Their brand-new news app is the latest addition to their impressive offering, and one of which made.by Tickaroo is particularly proud.  

The three news apps were conceived, designed, developed and built using Flutter technology by the same team that successfully launched the Nordbayern News App.  Thanks to state-of-the-art technology and up-to-the-minute news, the Westphalia news apps are the central point of contact for their regional readers. Under “My Topics”, users may select the subjects and regions that are of particular interest for their individualized news feed. From regional news or updates about their favorite club Preußen Münster, the stories are presented in a user-friendly way for readers. The customizable push function informs about top international and national news, traffic or sports events.  

The news apps also have an integrated liveblog, which is presented with Tickaroo Liveblog software. It offers the editors and reporters of Westfälische Nachrichten, Westfalen-Blatt and Münstersche Zeitung the ideal way to publish short summaries of the most important news via a central news feed. With a solid and stream-lined backend, and clean frontend, their editors are able to rely on highly performant technology all while providing their readers with relevant current events.
