Here to Play – Enabling record-breaking attendance goals with a UX-focused website!
After the success of the Men’s EHF EURO 2022 Handball Championships, the organizers wanted to leverage fan enthusiasm for the next EUROs in Germany in 2024. To keep up the momentum, the EHF* and DHB** have set record-breaking attendance goals for the upcoming event. To reach these goals, the federations recognized that they needed a specialized event website with superior user experience to encourage fans to purchase tickets and to build excitement for the event. The experienced team from made.by Tickaroo was tasked with this exciting project.
The bilingual site was designed and developed from scratch. Inspired by the official EHF 2024 CI, the made.by team quickly proposed a design and concept for the website. While working closely with the organizers, the team implemented the user-friendly concept using various technologies to ensure content control for the DHB. Due to the implementation of Typo 3, for example, event organizers have more autonomy when communicating new vital information on the website. Thanks to the neat concept and design, the website can be easily duplicated and adjusted for future events.
With the number of dedicated fans and the new easy-to-use marketing site, the EHF’s attendance goals are one step closer to being reached. With tickets and information about the various host cities easily accessible on the website, visitors and fans are well-served with all they need to attend and have a great time at this incredible event!
