Few things highlight the importance of teamwork more visibly than sports. But teamwork isn't only essential in athletic competition but also in optimizing fan engagement. That's why the Table Tennis Bundesliga teamed up with the experts from made.by Tickaroo for their website redesign and its underlying technology. Together, they developed a modern user interface, clearly providing table tennis fans with the latest news. The new TTBL website went live just in time for the start of the 2023 Bundesliga season.
TTBL Relies on the Sports Expertise of Made.by Tickaroo's Development Team
The decision to go with made.by Tickaroo for the website redesign was an easy one. After all, the UX and UI designers have previously collaborated with DHB, the kicker sports app, Sportdeutschland TV, and FC Nürnberg, making them well-versed in developing digital sports apps. With the new design, table tennis fans will receive comprehensive news, current and well-presented information, and numerous statistics on the new data platform.
"The website is a hub for clubs, sponsors, and fans of the sport. With this design overhaul, we're taking a significant step towards digitization. It was clear to us early on that Tickaroo was the perfect partner to enable us to do justice to table tennis. To ensure that our users can quickly and reliably access the desired data in the future, we are currently working on an app extension, providing fans with the best possible experience even on mobile devices," said Nico Stehle, Managing Director of the Table Tennis Bundesliga GmbH.
"Our company roots are in sports, so we are delighted to be able to advance another discipline digitally with the Table Tennis Bundesliga. As enthusiastic fans ourselves, we understand the importance of club proximity, making it even more crucial to make breaking information accessible to everyone, especially on mobile. During the collaboration process, the importance of intuitive and unrestricted access was evident for us both. Through this, we developed some exciting features that table tennis fans can now look forward to," explained Naomi Owusu, CEO of Tickaroo."
More Opportunities: Streaming via Dyn.
The focus on modern technologies and exploring alternative options for live reporting is evident in the TTBL's collaboration with Dyn. The new streaming service is responsible for the broadcasting of all matches. The launch of Dyn also expands the customer base for Tickaroo and the TTBL.
